Made in America Festival

Digital, branding and app design for Rocnation and Budweiser's massive music festival in Philadelphia

Building out a native app, web app and CMS

Featuring artists such as Kanye West, Beyonce, and Kings of Leon, the Made in America festival was an iconic Philadelphia hip hop staple. We were contracted to help execute a digital transformation to bring their brand in line with their peers in the space, such as Coachella and Bonnaroo.

Keeping it Fresh

After realizing the frequency of artist updates required (such as cancellations and order changes), we created a custom Content Management System to allow for easy updating and edits of artists by Made in America staff.

The main challenge with this project is remaining within brand guidelines for Budweiser while also forging a new voice for the Made in America festival brand. Merging the two voices was a unique and fun exercise – we worked with the folks at Live Nation and Sean Carter Enterprises to make sure there was a unique offering every year digitally.

App design

Including wayfinding tech and ticketing integration, the native app we built also included a scavenger hunt using photo software to increase user engagement at the event. This allowed the festival runners to engage with the audience via the app while on location, and led to increased media exposure for the event.
